COVID-19 Message from EnerSys President and CEO, David M. Shaffer

To our loyal customers, industry partners, employees, family and friends –

Over the past few weeks, we have witnessed some unprecedented times as the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause individuals and businesses alike to adapt to challenging circumstances. Despite the uncertainties that remain, rest assured, EnerSys’ goal is to provide customers with access to our full offering of products, technologies and services.

We are doing everything in our power to keep our employees safe, healthy and protected against exposure to COVID-19. Our Environmental Health & Safety teams around the world are working diligently with government agencies to ensure our factories remain in operation given the essential nature of our products and services, and we continue to monitor the guidance set forth by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Now, more than ever, the supply chain, transportation, shipping and energy storage industries need our support in delivering food and household necessities as well as life-saving medical supplies to patients and healthcare facilities across the globe. Our production plants around the world continue operating, and our field service teams continue to provide onsite support for our customers. During this time of hardship, where things are changing by the minute, communication is crucial, and our dedicated sales representatives are available to assist in providing access to innovative power solutions for optimal operational performance and productivity.

To aid in this global health crisis, EnerSys sent 18,000 nitrile gloves to Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. In Arras, France, we provided 8,000 masks to the local hospital; and we are continuing to explore additional ways by which we can assist in helping our local communities combat this global crisis.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will communicate as necessary. As the days and weeks ahead unfold, please be certain to reach out to your local EnerSys representative if there is anything we can do to offer assistance.

From our family to yours, with wishes for continued good health,

David M. Shaffer, President and Chief Executive Officer at EnerSys
